Twenty for Today

There was a feeling in the 1980’s that an explosion of photographic talent, unparalleled in Britain since the days of Bailey, Donovan and Duffy in the 60s, was being witnessed. The National Portrait Gallery paid tribute to this new generation and offered its own selection of the top twenty young photographers working in the field of portraiture at the time.
